Abstract
Rabies is a fatal viral zoonotic disease present on all continents with the
exception of Antartica but more than 95% of human deaths occur in Asia and
Africa. India alone contributes an estimated 20000 deaths with 17.4 million
exposures to animal bite occurring every year.
