ANTE MORTEM DIAGNOSIS OF RABIES FROM SALIVA: COMPARISON OF NESTED RT-PCR WITH TAQMAN REAL TIME PCR

Abstract

To evaluate efficacy of molecular techniques nested RT-PCR and TaqMan real
time PCR for the detection of rabies virus from saliva. To compare the sensitivity
of molecular techniques applied on saliva for ante mortem diagnosis of rabies
with immuno flourescence applied on brain.
